Rochelle is a junior at Barnard majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior. She founded Grey Matters CU because of her passions for neuroscience, accessibility, and interdisciplinary study. Outisde of GMCU, you can find her conducting UX research at Pilleve or researching taste at the Glendinning lab. She enjoys running, chai tea lattes, and podcasts by Esther Perel.

Rebecca is a junior at Barnard from New Jersey studying Neuroscience and Behavior with a cellular concentration. Her passion for discussing her research to non-STEM peers inspired her to co-found GMCU! She wants to encourage the curiosity of the brain and mitigate the daunting nature that comes with neuroscience. You can find her working at the Zuker Lab or grabbing a Pret latte and spending hours in NOCO.
Elynn Chang '23

Elynn is a sophomore in Columbia College from New Jersey. She is majoring in Neuroscience and is also studying Clarinet Performance through the Columbia-Juilliard Exchange Program. Outside of GMCU, you can find her giving tours through the Undergraduate Recruitment Committee, playing in the Columbia Orchestra, or hunting down the best carrot cake in the city.

Blue is a junior from Savannah, Georgia studying psychology and Hispanic studies. He has a special interest in neuropsychology, and also loves language learning. When he's not busy working on his responsibilities for GMCU, he is either napping with his dogs or lying to his parents about how much schoolwork he has done.

Natalie is a junior from Pewee Valley, Kentucky on the Pre-Health track majoring in Cellular Neuroscience and minoring in Mathematics. She is the Head of Outreach at Pulse, part of Scientists & Engineers for a Better Society, and on the E-Board for Women in Mathematics. Outside of GMCU, she works in two neuro labs and enjoys knitting

Vika is a sophomore at Barnard College studying Cellular and Molecular Biology and minoring in Economics. She has always been fascinated by neuroscience, and the application of biological principles to the mind. Outside of studying and research, she works as a photographer and graphic designer. She is passionate about the intersection of art and science and excited to work on the publication.

Ashley is a freshman from New Jersey planning to major in Neuroscience and Behavior. She is passionate about making neuroscience accessible to everyday readers and believes scientific presentation is just as valuable as the content itself. In her free time, she enjoys bullet-journaling, tutoring elementary students, listening to the 99% Invisible podcast, and baking banana nut bread.

Driven by her passion for scientific research and disability activism, she is excited to be a part of the Grey Matters team. Outside of Grey Matters, she is a Research Assistant in the Pischedda Lab and a TA for the Barnard Genetics course
